The Parents of Pupils at Bishop Tufnell (PoP@BT)
The Parents of Pupils at Bishop Tufnell (PoP@BT), is made up of a band of parents who give up their spare time in order to raise funds and provide extra resources for the children to enhance their school experience. Lots of money is raised each year and is spent in many different ways. In the past, we have purchased outdoor play equipment for the whole school and Chromebooks. Each year we also buy the Christmas tree for the School Hall.
In the Autumn term, the main fundraising activity is the Family Bonfire & Firework Display. This is always very successful and is a great way for the Friends and the school to work together for a great event which the whole community can enjoy. Money is also raised by selling Christmas Cards which the children design themselves; a special Christmas Chocolate Raffle and a big Christmas Disco/Party.
All parents are automatically members of PoP@BT and everyone is welcome to any of the Committee meetings. Each year, more volunteers are desperately needed to help organise and run events - the more volunteers, the more money is raised for the benefit of ALL the children.
