Headteacher's Welcome
Children at Bishop Tufnell are safe, happy, and cherished. We are proud of the work we do to see our children flourish academically with children achieving strong outcomes as they move on to secondary school, but we are about so much more.
As a Church school, our Christian vision and values underpin our every decision and interaction, and drives our passion for supporting every child to achieve their potential. We welcome and nurture all children, from all backgrounds and religions, and look to support every child to enjoy life in all its fullness - experiencing a wide range of opportunities including trips, events and leadership roles and representing the school in sports and music events. Our sports provision is a particular strength and helps our children to develop healthy habits, good mental health, and all sorts of positive learning that comes from representing the school and trying something new.
We have wonderful outdoor facilities including large grounds, nature areas and our own woodland where all children take part in forest school sessions. Inside our rather fetching 1950s building, you will find a staff team who are inclusive of all children, know every child individually, and strive for excellence in themselves and the children in our care.

We provide a rich and motivating curriculum that teaches children to become confident, independent learners with skills for life.
Through enriching clubs, trips, and opportunities, we encourage the children to explore their passions and interests and to experience truly enriching experiences. Through our curriculum and collective worship, we support them to grow in their understanding of who they are and their place in the world—developing confidence, curiosity, and a passion to go on to make a positive difference in the world around them.

Our aspiration is that at Bishop Tufnell, everyone flourishes in our school, achieving their full potential.
We have high aspirations for all our children and look to grow that aspiration in the children too. Our heart is to see every child know life in all its fullness, going on to realise their potential and truly flourish in secondary school and beyond.
